Weißwasser (Germany)

In September 2016 and at the proposal of Bilbao International, the Bilbao City Hall organisation for promoting the international image of Bilbao City, the Bilbao Metropoli-30 Association gave a presentation on Bilbao’s development and evolution at the Summer Academy 2016 in the German city of Weißwasser, as part of the seminar entitled “Innovative Urban Development Through Qualification and Work Models”, in which Bilbao was the city chosen as a successful transformation process case study.

Stemming from this event and in order to meet first-hand the agents and organisations involved in the transformation process and see the city, the Association has been requested to host a visit, from 26 to 28 October, by a delegation from the German city of Weißwasser comprising 10 social agents actively involved in urban planning as well as in integration in their city’s work.

Hence, following the interests expressed by the delegation, the Association has proposed a schedule comprising visits and meetings with members of the following organisations: Bilbao Ekintza, Bilbao Metropoli-30, Torre Iberdrola, Euskalduna Conference Centre and Concert Hall, Guggenheim Bilbao Museoa, Baracaldo Town Hall, Inguralde and San José de Calasanz School, amongst others.
