We welcome Igor Ciuffarin, an architect and doctoral student at the University of Trieste. His PhD thesis focuses on the transformation processes of the urban seafront in a number of European cities.

The research sets out to study certain recent coastal transformations with a view to identifying what a project for developing its seaward side means for a city, its port and its region. To do so, Igor is studying the specific case of Bilbao and is meeting the Deputy Director to find out more about the city’s past, present and future transformation process.
