“Cities of Ambition” project
Bilbao Metropoli-30 is pursuing a project on the strategic potentials of Bilbao and Bizkaia in conjunction with the international expert Charles Landry, the founder of Comedia, a contributor to several publications related to cities, and a frequent collaborator of our Association.
The Association is being supported in this project by the Provincial Council of Bizkaia’s Department of Economic and Territorial Development, with the aim being to discuss views from both home and abroad that will help us to define the current situation of Bilbao-Bizkaia with regard to its priorities, strategies, challenges and future projects.
The first step Bilbao Metropoli-30 has taken in this project has been to organise a series of interviews and workshops involving Charles Landry on 29 and 30 January.
Among the organisations and businesses interviewed in this stage, we may single out the following: Provincial Council of Bizkaia, Bilbao Council, Bilbao International, Iberdrola, Guggenheim Museum , Fine Arts Museum, BBK Foundation, Zorrotzaurre Management Commission, Orkestra, Wikitoki, Hasten Ventures, Innolab, European Data Incubator and the Basque-Navarre Architects Association.
