Local Immigration Council

In December 2010, Bilbao City Council’s Department of Equality, Cooperation and Citizenship and the Bilbao Metropoli-30 Association subscribed an agreement through which the Association provided the Council with all its know-how, experience and resources for developing its local immigration council: Consejo Local de la Inmigración (CLI). It is a collegiate body of an advisory and consultative nature, whose remit is to ensure the democratic engagement of migrant associations and all the other agents involved in the promotion and development of integration and coexistence policies within the different ambits of the city’s political, cultural, economic and social life.
